Classic Acai Bowl


Acai bowls are a staple in my house, and they never disappoint. They are perfect for a quick, delicious and satisfying breakfast. The best thing about them is their versatility, you can mix up the ingredients and toppings each time to keep things interesting.


Ingredients

Serves 1 to 2

2 frozen apple bananas

1 cup frozen blueberries

1 cup frozen strawberries

1/2 cup frozen mango

2 acai packets

1 cup oat milk (or plant based milk of choice)

Granola (for topping)

Peanut butter (For topping)


Directions

1. Add banana, blueberries, strawberries, mango, acai and milk to a blender and start blending on low speed while mashing the fruit down with the tamper stick.

2. Once fruit is slightly blended, increase the speed to halfway, continuing to mash down the fruit, eventually increase the blending speed to just below the highest setting and blend until you see a swirl. It should have a texture similar to frozen yogurt.

3. Transfer to bowls and add your favourite toppings like granola and peanut butter and enjoy!
